EXPANSION IN BRAZIL WITH THE SIGNING OF A MASTER FRANCHISE AGREEMENT

The first school under this innovative project will be inaugurated in São Paulo and marks a significant milestone in the future expansion of the ELE USAL brand in Brazil.

The University of Salamanca has formalized the signing of a Master Franchise contract in Brazil for its Spanish Language Schools (ELE USAL), which represents a new step in the internationalization strategy. The signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University of Salamanca, Mr. Ricardo Rivero Ortega, on behalf of ELE USAL, the CEO Mr. José Miguel Sánchez Llorente, and on behalf of the Master Franchise, the CEO Mr. João Bosco Coelho Pasin.

This innovative project marks a significant milestone in the future expansion of the ELE USAL brand in Brazil, as it responds to the university's strategic vision. Some of the objectives of the new Brazil Master Franchise will be to satisfy the growing demand for Spanish teaching in Brazil, strengthen ties between Spain and Brazil, contribute to the cultural and educational enrichment of both nations and promote the training of language teachers. This agreement will not only strengthen educational ties between both countries, but will also provide a unique high-quality teaching experience, supported by the prestigious University of Salamanca.

 

 

Brazil is currently the second country, after the United States, in the number of students who study Spanish as a foreign language. The report “Spanish, a living language: Yearbook 2023” published by the Cervantes Institute, estimated that there were more than four million students of our language in the country. With 23 million total learners in the world, Brazil is, without a doubt, a favorable terrain for the growth of our language.

Its CEO, Mr. João Bosco Coelho Pasin, also announced that the first school under this new agreement will open in São Paulo. This strategic choice reflects the university's commitment to introducing the teaching of Spanish and Hispanic culture to one of the most influential and dynamic cities in Brazil.

Expansion in Brazil

The Master Franchise will assume responsibility for the expansion and supervision of the ELE USAL academies in Brazil, working in close collaboration with the ELE USAL Schools Central and various USAL bodies. The objective is to expand agreements, programs and initiatives with Brazilian institutions and companies, as well as explore the possibility of offering courses, places and scholarships for Brazilian students, researchers and professors in Salamanca.

With this agreement, the University of Salamanca reinforces its commitment to the promotion of Spanish as an international language and consolidates its position as a world-renowned educational institution.

 

Training visit to the ELE USAL Central facilities

The new CEO of the Brazil Master Franchise Mr. João Bosco has completed the training course for the master franchise at the ELE USAL Central facilities in Salamanca. In this training, the ELE USAL Business Model, the System Operational Manuals, the use of the image through the Corporate Identity Manual, the usability of the Computer Management System, the operation of WordPress and the ELE Moodle have been analyzed in depth. USAL. Also, work meetings have been held focused on creating the virtual image of the new Master Franchise, as well as different work tools have been explained such as the Certificates that the Network of Schools has, the different course catalogs and prices, the possible organizational chart of a School, basic characteristics for the franchisee, dossiers, product designs, annual work plan, Student Guide, etc. Finally, the franchise master had the opportunity to visit the Bilbao school with the director of ELE USAL, Rubén Ramírez Gutiérrez, and the school director, Joshi Gokarna.

From now on, a new stage begins in Brazil, being the hallmark of the University of Salamanca in the country, along with Cuiabá and Belo Horizonte.
