Last week a new Spanish Language School of the University of Salamanca in Hinggan League was inaugurated in China. It is the fourth School of Spanish Language of the University of Salamanca in Chinese-speaking territory, which shows the interest that there is in the Asian country for the Spanish language and culture. The inauguration of this new center of the University of Salamanca coincides with the growing enrollment of Spanish students in Chinese universities and with the inclusion of Spanish as a subject in the study plans of the Chinese Baccalaureate and its entrance exam to the University.
The event was attended by very influential personalities within Chinese culture, who were able to observe the impact of teaching and learning Spanish, by verifying the immense number of interested parties generated by the event held. Some of the guests included the Director of Education of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Community, Dou Guijun; the Director of the Department of Physical Health of the Chinese Ministry of Education, Xu Hong; Hinggan League Mayor Li Junyan; the president of Zixi Company, Zhang Zhen; the Secretary General of the Hinggan Vocational and Technical Training Institute, Liu Wensham and the Chancellor of the Hinngan Vocational and Technical Training Institute, Fan Yongyi, among other local authorities.
ELE USAL Hinggan League is the first center for teaching Spanish as a foreign language that in the future will be a DELE examination center in Inner Mongolia, whose service will be located throughout the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Community and the three northeastern provinces of China. This new Spanish franchise of the University of Salamanca will be in charge of communication and international cooperation in education, through teaching to audiences of all ages, favoring the academic exchange of Chinese students abroad and the joint organization of academic seminars of linguistic and idiomatic character.
The University of Salamanca, hand in hand with the Spanish language and culture, continues its language expansion in China, once again favoring cultural exchange between two countries, which enjoy good institutional and academic relations.
