Taller formativo " enseñar español a través del deporte" ELE USAL Costa Rica
One of the focus areas of the ELE USAL Costa Rica school is the training and professional updating of ELE teachers. That is why, on Saturday, August 3, 2019, the school organized the workshop Teaching Spanish through sport: contents, technologies and strategies, given by Dr. Mar Galindo from the University of Alicante, with the purpose of raising and to publicize a new perspective in the teaching of ELE: the use of sport as a vehicle for content. During the workshop, the fundamentals of teaching ELE in relation to sport and the various possible orientations were presented, as well as indications on what contents to include and how to treat them, especially with the help of new technologies in the classroom, and, finally, included a review of specific exercises and teaching proposals, according to the teaching context.
The workshop was held at the facilities of the Universidad de Iberoamérica in Tibás and was attended by more than 35 teachers dedicated to teaching Spanish. We share some photos of the event.
