Visita del representante de la universidad de Salamanca y escuelas ELE USAL a la sede ELE USAL CHENGDU

On November 5, 2019, José Miguel Sánchez Llorente from the University of Salamanca, Spain, and Mr. Yan Xiaolin, the Director of the Spanish School of the University of Salamanca ELE USAL Chengdu, were invited to visit the Tianfu College of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. The vice chancellor, Yiyong Yao, director of the Office of Academic Affairs, Donghui Wang and Rong Tang were the representatives who attended on behalf of the academic center

At the symposium, President Yao Yiyong sincerely welcomed visitors on behalf of the school, gave a detailed presentation on the history, development status and professional design of the center. In addition, he reported on the Spanish professional application and the opening of the School of Spanish Language of the University of Salamanca, ELE USAL Chengdu. José Miguel Sánchez Llorente, a member of the University of Salamanca and the ELE USAL Schools, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work and trusts that the opening of this ELE USAL School will contribute to the cooperation between both institutions

Later, the guests visited the office and the classrooms for the ELE USAL Chengdu center. Mr. José Miguel Sánchez Llorente, once again, expressed his sincere appreciation for the opening works of the school and looks forward to the upcoming cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, Sánchez Llorente gave a conference under the theme: “Cooperative background, project advantages. Characteristics of learning Spanish and employment advantages of the Spanish language" to the teachers and students who attended the event.

Mr. José Miguel Sánchez Llorente also gave a Spanish master class to the students who attended the celebration, providing some humorous and interesting explanations, which allowed the students to enjoy the Spanish language and culture.

The visit of the representative of the University of Salamanca and ELE USAL Schools marks the beginning of a new phase of collaboration between the two universities. In fact, the director of the Tianfu College of the Southwest University of Finance and Economics stated that more than 200 students from the school will be included in the teaching plan of the University of Salamanca. In the near future, the School of Spanish Language of the University of Salamanca in Chengdu, ELE USAL Chengdu, will become the standard and the point of reference for the teaching and research of the teaching of the Spanish language and culture.
