"Un viaggio in Italia", by Benito Pérez Galdós, has gone on sale in all Italian bookstores, the first complete translation, in Italy, of this work, which has been translated by the students of the 1st ELE Professional Literary Translation Seminar USAL Turin. The seminar took place last June, for the Spanish and English languages; During the course, guidelines were given on how the literary classics should be translated or retranslated to bring them closer to the contemporary reader, without changing the nature of the work. The participants are young aspiring translators who, thanks to this specific seminar of ELE USAL Torino, have the advantage of now having a published work, since for these specific translation courses the School of the University of Salamanca in Turin has a publishing agreement. with Elliot Publishing.
The name of all the students appears in the colophon of the book; The introduction to the work is by Carlo Alberto Montalto who, along with Monica R. Bedana, director of ELE Usal Torino, and Elisa Pantaleo, was one of the three professional translators who led the seminar.
